Charlottetown Zine Library

About the Library

The Ch’town Zine Library is a collection of independently published works collected and archived by the Ch’town Zine Fest. Housed at This Town Is Small (115 Richmond Street, Charlottetown), our library celebrates and preserves zines, artist books, comics, and other DIY publications created by artists with connections to Epekwitk/Prince Edward Island or the Ch’town Zine fest.

Our growing collection focuses on:

  • Zines and artist books by PEI-based creators

  • DIY publications made by past Ch’town Zine Fest participants

  • Independent publications from Atlantic Canadian small press publishers

  • Historical and contemporary materials related to PEI's print culture and creative communities

Visit the Collection

The Ch’town Zine Library is accessible during This Town Is Small's regular hours. Visitors are welcome to browse the collection and spend time reading in the space. While materials must stay with the library, many publications are available for purchase directly from their creators and we're happy to help connect you!

Publication Grants

The Ch’town Zine Library periodically provides micro-grants to help local artists create new DIY publications, including zines, artist books, graphic novels, and themed anthologies. Availability varies depending on our funding, so stay tuned to learn about new opportunities!
